The lyrics have a refreshing, spiritually loving message vs. the predominant garbage that dominates much of today's urban music. Charles also adds some head bobbing instrumentals like 'Inside'."

Hij werd geboren en groeide op in Atlanta, Georgia, en is zowel componist, songwriter, zanger, pianist, muzikaal coach als producer. Hij werkte al met Grammy Award winnaars Curtis Mayfield en Usher, en mikt nu op hogere aspiraties. Op deze cd zit achter iedere song een diepere betekenis. De muziek is een mengeling van traditionele R&B en smooth jazz met spirituele betekenis. Het zijn overwegend zachte songs, maar ook staan er twee instrumentale nummers op, nl. ‘Inside’ en ‘Return’. De songs gaan over de dingen die we tegenkomen in ons leven, en die aan de basis liggen van de acties die we ondernemen. De ballades ‘Love Wait’ en ‘Calling Your Name’, twee van Charles zijn persoonlijke favorieten, weerspiegelen best die indrukken. ‘Love Wait’ werd geïnspireerd door belangrijke relaties die leden, terwijl ‘Calling Your Name’ gaat over zijn beslissing na een ontmoeting met iemand die hem een andere kijk op de liefde gaf. Great voice and some soulful
